Region III Facilitator
Jasmine Woods is a current 4th year pharmacy student at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science- College of Pharmacy (RFUMS- COP) in North Chicago, IL. Born and raised in Salem, NJ, she attended Xavier University of Louisiana in which she received her degree of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a minor in Biology. From high school to undergrad, she has always had a passion for service by finding ways to serve in the community that she resides in. Therefore once she entered pharmacy school, it was easy for her to continue serving the underserved population, which is why she knew SNPhA was the perfect organization for her. Not only is she an active member, but she has served as Secretary and then Chapter President where she has helped grow membership, provide the student body a better understanding of SNPhA, and work directly with her chapter's initiative chairs through volunteering and assisting. She has volunteered with SNPhA and other pharmacy organizations to provide the surrounding community with educational sessions and health screenings.
During this past academic year Jasmine has had the pleasure of serving as the Student Dean for RFUMS- COP; serving as liaison between the faculty and students. Currently, she is a proud brother of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, and has served as Professional Chairperson for two consecutive years for her chapter where she coordinated community service and philanthropy events. Also, she is a present member of Phi Lambda Sigma Leadership Society, American Pharmacists Association- Academy of Student Pharmacists, and Illinois Council of Health- System Pharmacists.
In her spare time, Jasmine enjoys traveling, sports, spending time with friends and family, and volunteering. One of her personal goals is to serve the surrounding community; not solely because she is a student pharmacist, but because she loves making a difference in people's lives.
Jasmine is very much honored to serve as the Region III Facilitator, and she aims to assist chapters in accomplishing their goals, encouraging membership, collaborating, and building relationships. Her vision for Region III is to continuously grow and impact communities in a unified way by "Connecting the P.I.E.C.E.S." this year. She looks forward to connecting with local chapters of Region III, and hopes to inspire members to continue serving and making an impact within their communities.
