Dr. Kimberly Lewis, PharmD, BCACP, CPP is a 2006 Doctor of Pharmacy graduate of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She has been involved with SNPhA in some capacity since 2002. As a student, she served as chapter president-elect and president. She also served as National Operation Immunizations Chairperson and Region 2 Facilitator in the same year. Upon graduation, she traveled to Columbus, OH to complete a pediatric ambulatory care residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in 2007. While there, she worked with the SNPhA Chapter at The Ohio State University and Dr. Darrel Bryant. In August 2007, she became a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Campbell University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Buies Creek, NC, where she practiced as a clinical pharmacist at Southern Regional Area Health Education Center (SRAHEC) in Fayetteville, NC until May 2018.
Dr. Lewis is also a member of numerous other national and local organizations. She is a proud member of the National Pharmaceutical Association (NPhA), where she has served as poster presentation coordinator, clinical initiatives chairperson and Zone 2 director and an active member of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, Inc. She is also an Executive Committee Member for the Health-Systems Practice Forum for the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists, a member of Phi Lambda Sigma, Rho Chi, ASHP, ACCP and AACP.
It is such an honor and privilege to serve as Executive Director of an organization that gave so much to her. It was through SNPhA that Dr. Lewis discovered her passion for health disparities and serving in underserved communities. It is her hope that SNPhA continues to grow and flourish during her executive director tenure. Dr. Lewis is an advocate for student involvement and leadership. She is wholeheartedly dedicated to establishing a great relationship with the leadership and members of SNPhA, while enhancing the relationship with our parent organization, NPhA, and establishing affiliations with other organizations who have the same goals.
In her spare time, Dr. Lewis enjoys traveling, spending time with family, water activities and music. Occasionally, you may find her singing karaoke or just randomly! Fun fact: If Dr. Lewis could do something that she loved, besides pharmacy and education, she would be the lead singer of a cover band!
