Bryan J. Donald
Dr. Bryan J. Donald is an Assistant Professor at the University of Louisiana Monroe College of Pharmacy in Monroe, Louisiana. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from the Texas A&M Health Science Center Rangel College of Pharmacy and completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency at Corpus Christi Medical Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. Before pharmacy school, he lived in Lubbock, Texas, where he earned his Bachelor of Music in Music Composition and met his wife, Chris, and his two “daughters” (puppies), Zelda and Daisy. In pharmacy school, Bryan joined SNPhA because he wanted to serve both his community and his peers in the pharmacy profession. He served his chapter as a “VIP,” doing miscellaneous work where needed, then as President-Elect, and finally as President before his bid for National Recording Secretary. As Recording Secretary, he was given the opportunity to contribute to the SNPhA Chapter Reporting system, the House of Delegates, and the Clinical Skills Competition, among other projects.
In his spare time, Bryan enjoys spending time with his wife and puppies on walks through the neighborhood or the woods, on fishing or camping trips, or just spending time around the house. He loves barbecue and grilling, and will use any excuse to fire up his barbecue for an all-day cookout. During residency, Dr. Donald conducted and presented research on sepsis and technology in pharmacy. As a pharmacy student, he researched simulations to determine health literacy and pharmacy competency under Dr. Charles Douglas. At ULM, Dr. Donald will practice Internal Medicine at University Health-Conway. He has practice interests in internal medicine, critical care, and infectious disease, and research interests in teaching and learning, simulation, clinical informatics, and infectious diseases.
Bryan is truly honored to continue serving SNPhA. He is truly motivated by all of our membership's accomplishments, and loves any chance to help members Connect with each other, their communities, and their goals and dreams.
