Anna Poston is a PGY1 Pharmacy Resident at The Jewish Hospital, Mercy Health, in Cincinnati, OH. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. SNPhA’s mission to serve the underserved inspired Anna to become actively involved in this organization during pharmacy school, which included representing the University of Kentucky as chapter Vice President and Delegate during her third year. Anna went on to become the 2016-2017 SNPhA National Recording Secretary.
In addition to SNPhA leadership, Anna served as the University of Kentucky Professional Development and Recruitment (PD&R) Co-Chair for her college. In this role, she oversaw all college of pharmacy admission interviews, Open Houses, P1 orientations, and other professional development activities. She also developed a mentor program, pairing first year students with upperclassmen, to ensure a smooth transition into pharmacy school. Anna was inducted into Phi Lambda Sigma Leadership Society due to her passion for and promotion of the pharmacy profession.
In her free time Anna enjoys playing piano, exploring outdoors, and volunteering. She also loves to travel; after her P2 year, she traveled to Santo Domingo, Ecuador, to provide medical services for underserved patients. Anna is excited to serve as a 2017-2018 SNPhA Executive Consultant in order to help SNPhA members connect the pieces throughout the year.
