Joshua Blackwell

President

Dr. Joshua Blackwell received his Doctorate of Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University (ONU) with a double minor in business administration and management. As a pre-pharmacy student at ONU, Joshua joined SNPhA and has thoroughly enjoyed leading and connecting with other SNPhA members. Throughout his years as a member, he was the pharmacy council representative, the outreach coordinator for two years, and has also served as chapter president. It was during these fundamental years where his passion for the organization grew and he was inspired to serve in a greater capacity.

Joshua has served and participated in several organizations during his time at ONU. Some of those organizations include being a member of the professional affairs division for the Ohio Society of Health-System Pharmacists (OSHP), serving on the outreach committee for Student Societies of Health-System Pharmacy (SSHP), and has also served as the Vice President of Student Senate. He is currently an inpatient pharmacy intern at the main campus of the Cleveland Clinic and has previously worked as an intern at his local CVS. In his spare time, he loves to travel, spend time with family and friends, and loves watching his ONU Polar Bears and Pittsburgh Steelers dominate their competitors.

As the SNPhA National President, he is continuing to challenge the organization, chapters, and members to “Stabilize our Foundation to Solidify our Future.” Joshua will continue to focus on the inner workings of the organization to ensure the membership has the basic tools and resources needed to provide accurate, efficient, and immaculate patient care. The vision is to stabilize the foundation of SNPhA through strengthening bonds within chapters, within members, and within the profession. He is both honored and excited to see the organization grow to exponential heights, solidifying the future of the profession of pharmacy, and impacting underserved communities through the members’ great efforts.
