A Message from your National Power to End Stroke Chair:

Will You Take 2 to Save 2?

Did you know stroke is the #3 killer in the United States and a leading cause of long term disability? What can we do to reduce the high incidence of stroke within our community? Take 2 to Save 2 is a multi-channel component of the Power to End Stroke movement to reach at-risk audiences with life saving messages via an email, phone call, text messages, Twitter, Facebook or a blog post.  The focus of this project within SNPhA is to ask members to take 2 minutes to call, email, post or text 2 people to share lifesaving cardiovascular and stroke health messages. Pre-written approved messages from the American Stroke Association are available at www.powertoendstroke.org/take2. The possibilities of this campaign are limitless. Today, February 23rd launches the campaign Take 2 to Save 2 and chapters may integrate Take 2 key messages into events you have planned on today and any time thereafter.  Encourage members to forward information to their networks (church, social, business, etc.) through emails or texts. A PowerPoint presentation with ways that you can help or host this initiative is posted under the Project tab in the Power to End Stroke Section on www.snpha.org. If there are any further questions after reading the presentation, please do not hesitate to contact me at marquitabradshaw@snpha.org. By the time you read this message, someone will have suffered a stroke! Remember, you have the power. THE POWER TO END STROKE!

Powerfully Yours,

Marquita Bradshaw
